Milford, CT. Sept 20-21 MEET THE ARTISTS AND ARTISANS 46TH Annual Fall Show closes 2008 with the Milford Green Show..10-5 whatever the weather!

FREE ADMISSION. Directions; I-95 north exit 37, South-39A..follow yellow artist artisan-arrow signs. Merrit/Wilbur Cross Exit 54 to NY South on U.S. l to High ST.  The Historic  Milford Green at High and Broad Streets in downtown Milford.

 

Featured exhibitors: Bob Parker-Scottsdale AZ. Presents his life sized Bronze wild life sculptures demonstrating their beginning with a clay version of Buffalo, wolf, coyote. His four horse fountain is permanently owned by the city of Scottsdale;  Milfords own oil painter Al Leiper paints predominantly Milford scenes at the show- shore, marsh, coastal scenes, local churches and historic landmarks.  An avid hiker, Al paints his beloved woods and forest locations;

Steve Brewster-Poteau OK- A glass artist for over 25 years, his imaginative glass sculptures, functional furnishings, glass staircases and railings are represented in collections of the Corning Glass Co., Adler Planetarium, FL Aquarium,  Jack Nicklaus, Tim Allen, Bill Giles (MLB),Lee Majors, Dan Fogelberg, Celine Dion, Denzel Washington, Ann Klein. His sociable and friendly manner are admired by all that view his remarkable, and brilliant glass inventions;

Jim Beran-FL-Satirical  water color, pen and ink drawings of professions and lifes passions are laugh aloud art works;  Sonny Cardinalli - welded, witty irons and kinetic sculptures; James Dongweck- author autographs his beautifully illustrated childrens books;  Billy Dougal-  “caricaturist extraordinaire” captures your personality with humor and deft drawing; Tony Juliano-off the wall paintings, and prints “ parodies of the masters”. multi layered compositions containing poems, messages, stories in assemblage of brilliant and vibrant colors; Greg Stones-miniature water color paintings, author of “The Last Penguin”; Inna Zaluki-Amsterdam oil painting scholar-paintings of mysterious women; Photographers; Curt, Garberino, Higgins, Hull, Kretsch, Naso, Neschke, Passman, offer-Romantic Renaissance Reflections, Angels, Land and Sea Scapes, still life, coastal New England, Tea time, black and white,colored, giclee, mosaic, collage, of  South Western- Mountain and cavern marvels, Milford landmarks, sport figures, teams, stadiums.  Pastel and oil portraits by Zhou. Demonstrating are -shore bird carving- Michael McCarthy of Mattapoisett MA., Norwood MA. Ken Lindgren-turned wood sculpture/vessels.

 

Handcrafters offer classic and fine wooden furniture; womens’  linen clothing; mosaic frames, lazy susans’, stepping stones; Pottery, stoneware functional and fantasy “Fire Witch”, Hand knit layettes, childrens’ clothing, toys, exotic yarns for scarves, shawls, stoles; Hand felted hats, purses and neck wear;Needle and hand felted  capes, jackets, sculptural figures, demonstrated by Anna Moberly; Antique finished Victorian Bird houses and arbors, Texas cedar and barn board furniture and bird homes; Brass and copper wind chimes, & tile house numbers; Hand Blown colored glass vases, sculptures, witch’s globes; Figural, painted glazed, face vessels by the Tischlers’;  Tapestry jackets, vests, hand bags; Turned wooden pens, perfume applicators;  Honey products, herbal dips;   18 Jewelers feature Andrews- Sea Glass; Babcock- gems, pearls silver; Crosbie-semi precious stones; Di Stefano –metal smithing, copper nu gold, collaged; Fried-whimsical polymer clay; Handel- 14 kt gold and sterling; Hessels beaded and crocheted peyote necklaces; Johnson-mens /womens silver art to wear; Reason-silver organic designs; Saterlee wooden ptd mini jwlry; Scholsohn- hand wrought sterling; Sirelsohn-18 and 14 Kt.
